Uncharted Arrives On PSN, Comes With Free DLC

Uncharted and its sequel are shortly going to be available to buy from the PlayStation Store, meaning that you can play the game from the comfort of your own XMB without leaving the couch.

In addition, like the US Store did a week or so back, the European Store now has all the downloadable content for Drake’s second adventure free of charge.

This includes the following DLC:

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Drake’s Fortune MP Pack
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Golden Guns
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – PlayStation Heroes Skin Pack
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Sidekick Skin Pack
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves – Siege Expansion Pack

Uncharted and Uncharted 2 will be available on June 27th, at which point the above DLC will return to its regular pricing, so grab it whilst you can even if you don’t have the game yet.

  1. So they’ll both be £49.99 then? :p

    • Or they might do an ‘EA’ (as I call it) and charge £57.99…

      • Considering both Uncharted and Unchartered 2 can be picked up for a tenner a piece, if its more than £20 on the store then they are wasting their time.

      • Agreed – In line with other items on the store though, they probably will be more expensive. :(

  3. I’m all up for Games on Demand, hell most my games are downloaded, but Uncharted??!! It is simply one of those franchises that deserve to be in a solid state in your collection, limited edition and all.

  4. Forgot about getting the DLC whilst it was free, thanks for the reminder.

    • See i like free stuff, but i just can’t see myself getting into the multiplayer enough to warrant downloading those packs.

Plus, surely its a bit dead since the release of UC3, which now has a lot of the same maps, but developed gameplay?

      • I don’t own U1 or U2 any more, but there is one trophy left on U2 I’d like to get so I will be ‘purchasing’ the DLC I dont already have. You don’t have to download them, just keep them in your download list for later and if you do start to play a bit more often download them then.

Basically if you just purchase them and don’t download them you haven’t lost anything. I do this with any free DLC for games I intend to pick up at some point.

      • Yeah, you have a point there – Didn’t realise you didn’t have to download there & then to ‘activate’ it as such, but i guess the second you say ‘purchase’ (or not in this case!), you have committed to it & therefore it’s yours.

Still not sure if i would ever get into the mp side of things though – I’ve completed it once to unlock crushing difficulty (which took me over a year!) & done a mp game & a co-op game for those two trophies, but as i have UC3 that i still haven’t gotten very far on (as well as the hundreds of other games i am yet to finish) i reckon its just wishful thinking on my part.

Absolutely understandable if you have just the one trophy to go though! :)

      • The only downside to this is that because the download list is horrendous with no sorting options it can get a bit tedious trying to find things once it’s over a couple of hundred.

      • Not in my case, I get full games on Deathmatch, Plunder and The Lab, haven’t tried the others yet.

  5. Love my new game smell too much. Original boxed games are staying in my collection.
