Visual Novel Sequel "Zero Escape" Coming to UK Vitas in November

Something very different.

This seems to have flown under the radar for most. I’ll own up to having hardly heard of the previous game, 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors on the DS but I hear that it was really quite excellent. Well, now the sequel is heading to 3DS as you might expect. The good news is that Vita owners will also get the chance to experience what looks like a truly unique kind of game.

It’s called Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward and Rising Star Games has confirmed that it’s targeting a release across the EU this November, with North America getting the game on October 23rd. The news that it’s coming has been around for a while but we hadn’t seen anyone talking about it in a long time until it was brought to my attention this afternoon so for all you Vita owners who might have forgotten about it, here’s the trailer:

It’s a visual novel, with full voice acting, which follows nine characters as they attempt to outwit each other and escape a building. You’ll interact with non-playable characters and make choices which drive the story as well as having the option to cooperate or betray the other characters. There are also various puzzles which must be solved to escape the rooms.

Seems like they’ve been writing a lot today.

Dear TSA: You need a bigger front page.

Ace! Though I was hoping 999 would be ported (HD-ified, rather). Still, cant complain.
