Ratchet: Gladiator HD Announced

Insomniac have revealed that ‘Ratchet: Gladiator’ (AKA ‘Ratchet: Deadlocked’ outside Europe) will be receiving a shiny HD makeover for the PSN later this year.

The game finds Ratchet playing in a deadly gameshow called ‘Dreadzone’ in which combatants must kill or be killed.

The PlayStation 2 version of the game was released in November 2005 and was absent from the recent Ratchet & Clank Trilogy compilation, check out the trailer for the original game above.

  1. I didn’t see any reason why I’d bother to buy it, just that arena stuff from the trilogy innit.

    • Same here, Gladiator/arena battles were my least favourite aspect of the R&C universe.

  2. Thought this would be the case, although I dont see why they could not have released it with the HD collection? Not enough space?
    Got to agree with the above, not the best R&C game but still fun and can play co-operatively!

  3. Hmm, why couldn’t they(Insomniac) do a ‘Ratchet & Clank Trilogy 2’ on Blu-ray for???
    i.e with –
    ‘Ratchet: Gladiator’
    +
    ‘Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters’
    +
    ‘Secret Agent Clank’
    games in HD with Trophies for the PS3??? :-(

  4. I really loved this game. It had a pretty decent story line and I played it most out off all the R&C games. If its reasonably priced and maybe vita compatible then I will get it 100% if its more than £7 it probably wont be worth it
