Bayonetta 2 Announced, Is Exclusive To Wii U

bayonetta 2

Nintendo have just announced that Bayonetta 2, which will be developed by Platinum and published by Nintendo themselves, will be exclusive to Wii U.

The first Bayonetta was a brilliant third person adventure/brawler, and it looks like the original development team will be behind this sequel.

Details of the Wii U’s 2012 release were just announced in the last hour.

  1. Oh, damn! Might actually be intereste…*looks at price of controller again*…nah.

  2. timed or permanent exclusivity though, that’s the question.

    • Published by Nintendo normally means permanent exclusive.

      • But knowing Sega, it’ll probably be released on PS3 as an extended cut with Move controls.

Either way, I’m getting the WiiU, now that my Wii died on me a few weeks ago.

      • i guess i missed the part about Nintendo publishing. ^_^

  3. Holy shit this is big!
    Definitely getting one now.

  4. Excellent news, that’s just what Nintendo needed – the bottom of the barrel scrapings of cancelled PS3 and Xbox games.

  5. Looks like I won’t be getting this sequel then. Really liked the first game.

  6. Bit of a slap in the face for people who brought the first game.

  7. really liked the first one shame not getting a wiiu just for this.

  8. Only just finished the first one … shame I will not be playing the sequel :(

  9. To be honest I never thought I’d be bummed by the announcement of Bay 2, but Wii U exclusive… seems a bit odd.

  10. That should help shift 3 or 4 units ;)
