Darksiders II Wii U Features “5 Hours” Of Bonus Content

Following today’s slew of Wii U announcements, the console’s launch window is slowly starting to fill. Alongside first party software and a decent spread of exclusives are a number of re-releases getting the Wii U treatment, including THQ’s Darksiders II.

The Vigil Games’ joint, which released last month on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, is due to launch on the new Nintendo platform sometime after its arrival in late November. Darksiders II will make use of the consoles quirky gamepad, allowing players to adopt gyro-enabled motion controls during specific gameplay segments. The touchscreen can also be used for item management .

What’s most intriguing about the Wii U version is the “5+ hours of additional gameplay” included. Those who pick up this particular iteration of the hack n’ slash dungeon crawler will have instant access to the game’s first expansion, Argul’s Tomb, as well as every pre-order bonus from the PC/console versions.

  1. 5+ is a lot, I wonder if it’s some flashbacks to the first game that never came out on the Wii…

  2. This game is going on for too long now, 5 extra hours would ruin it even more.

  3. So its just the dlc then…?

    • Yeah “instant access to the game’s first expansion, Argul’s Tomb, as well as every pre-order bonus from the PC/console versions”

      • Well, I have the “limited” (limited to a couple million copies) edition, so I’m not jealous.

      • You got the “LIMITED” so Argul’s Tomb is free for you anyeay.

      • anyway*

      • Yeah, I know. That’s why I mentioned it. :-)

  4. So the same version 360/ps3 users get then? :D

Limited Edition (which these days means nothing as limited to all the copies you won;t sell in a year counts as limited :) )

Arguls Tomb being 5 hours sounds good however :)
