What games will you be picking up with the Wii U, are you happy with the launch line-up?

  1. About 13 exclusives overall, by my count. Whatever games a ‘gamer’ might consider substantial appear to be ports, apart from ZombiU. Overall, it could be good, I guess. But will 13 new games really keep every demographic going with the console? We have the same problem with the Vita right now, although that’s slowly getting better.

  2. So Aliens Colonial Marines comes out on Wii U before the main consoles?

    • Don’t think so, I think Aliens Colonial Marines is out in Feb 2013, which is within the Wii U launch window.

      • Ahh yes didn’t read the article properly, my bad.

  3. Times have changed I see. This’ll feel weird, Nintendo sharing multiplat games again.

  4. That Lego City looks really good. But be saving my pennies for PS4.

  5. Decent line-up about six-eight games I’ll be interested in playing, obviously Monster Hunter 3 since that will take part of 2013 like previous games have done to free time.
Then there’s the Wii’s terrifying list of exclusives that must be bought… and 100’s of Retro games i hope will be there.

Good for gaming, hopefully a success.

  6. Proof of a worthwhile console buy for me is whether it contains games that I cannot play on my PC or elsewhere. ATM the WiiU has only limited offerings. Think I’ll see what the 720 PS4 are doing moving making any move toward this

  7. Very decent line up, Ninty can be taken seriously again in the games console league away from the family gatherings for the communal injury olympics that was the Wii console niche….which although very successful wasn’t my cup of tea.
I could definately see me picking up a Wii U somewhere along the line but it’d have to be the black version console. Still a way off yet though, don’t even own a Vita yet :O

    • Don’t knock the communal injury Olympics. They made up half of our Paralympics Team GB this year!

Classification S44: injury sustained from Wii remote to the eye.

      • Haha, priceless.
Maybe with the loss of such a lot of their best Wii customers to training for the olympics or hospital, Ninty had to change direction. :P

  8. Great list imo. ZombiU and Rayman at launch, Mario probably in the January sales and then Lego City in the coming months. Plenty to keep me occupied :D

  9. Ninty actually has some games that are not just exclusives at launch? Tis not possible! :O

It’s a decent line up and Blops 2 alone will help to sell some units as there are some Wii COD fans who probably intend to get the Wii U. Still disagree with ME3 being released on the Wii U as it’s the last game in Shepard’s story and new players won’t feel that attached to their shepard and most likely won’t care about the squadmates or certain NPCs. I know an interactive comic will be included but tis not the same. :-/ Wish ME1 was on PS3. Sorry, got a bit off topic.

But the impressive line up will mean jackcrap if Ninty don’t market the Wii U! The console is out in 2 months and there has literally been no form of marketing. Hell, even the Vita got more marketing then this and we all know what Sony are like with their marketing over here.

    • Now that the floodgates have opened in terms of release dates, pricing, etc I would imagine we will see and hear a lot more from retailers.
