Here’s Your First Look At Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix

During this year’s Tokyo Game Show,Square Enix announced that it would be revamping one of its most cherished IPs for current-gen hardware. Titled “Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD ReMIX” the three-layer bundle comes tagged with high-def remasters of the original game alongside Chain of Memories and 2009’s 358/2 Days, which originally launched on the Nintendo DS.

The game’s first official trailer is impressive to say the least and it will be interesting to see how the Final Fantasy publisher reworks each instalment to suit contemporary gamers.

1.5 HD is due to launch in Japan sometime next year. We’ve yet to hear of an English localisation though, given the IPs’ substantial Western fanbase, we’re likely to get a bite.

  1. Yes please.

  2. Looks great! Hopefully we’ll get it over here…

  3. i thought the stuff from the DS games was just the cutscenes..
if they’ve got the games playable on there then this would be a must buy.
and even if they’re just cutscenes, it’s still an interesting title.

  4. Is. Kingdom hearts a turn based RPG cause I can’t stand turn based game yes you FF

  5. When you say current gen hardware, do you mean PSV, 3DS, or both? Just for clarity.

  6. ahhh, how much I adore this game, this and shenmue.

  7. The trailer only mentions PS3. I really hope this comes out for the Vita, too…

  8. I can’t be arsed to trawl. Does this include KH2?

    • Just re-read above, so need to change this comment to – WHY doesn’t this include KH2!!!

      • I think they are gonna do KH2 seperately

  9. Really looking forward to this, I missed the original games first time around.

  10. 358/2 Days looks ALOT better! Really hope we won’t have to wait to long after the Japanese releae for it to release here :(.
