Killzone Intercept – A 14 Minute Fan Made Action Film

InfectiousDesigner, a YouTube author you really should be following, has just published Killzone Intercept, a fourteen minute live action fan movie. Predictably, it’s rather brilliant, and well worth watching if you’re remotely interested in the Killzone universe.

The short takes place during the timespan of the last Killzone game as the ISA evacuate Helghan. It’s centred on a scout team and their desperate attempts to stop a squadron of Helghast soldiers trying to cut off the ISA convoy.

It’s perfect for that last 15 minutes before 5pm.

  1. Now this was very good, especially considering it’s a low-budget short film. Really captures the feel of the games

  2. Thats really well made, brilliant infact. I did feel a little sick in one or two parts from the moving camera, but overall this is class. It makes me want to play the game again.

  3. Great short. I think Sony should be looking into this franchise just as much as Uncharted in terms of film. I saw another short based on Killzone some time ago; a good film, again, but clearly didn’t have the same level of resources this one did. On the other hand we’re yet to see fan films for most other major franchises, so there must be interest in a film based on Killzone.
Pretty inspirational as well, if only I had the money to make something like this…

  4. Awesome!!!!

  6. BRILLIANT!!! :P Makes me want to play KZ again :D

  7. did anyone see the transit van drive past at about the 7 minute mark?

  8. Awesome! Very well done, the amount of work put into this must have been tremendous.

  9. A little bit of extra information about the making of the film is available on Guerrilla’s website at the link below.

I have always thought the setting of the Killzone games is quite interesting and worthy of a bit more exploration.
