Skyrim’s Dragonborn Heading To PS3, Bethesda Haven’t Forgotten About Us After All

Eschewing the belief of the populous that they simply can’t figure out the PS3 at all, Bethesda have announced that they’re bringing the latest DLC – Dragonborn – to Sony’s console.

Previous extra content has skipped the PS3 due to several issues the developers couldn’t work around, but it appears that this latest one – which hits the Xbox 360 tomorrow – will actually make it out.

Not that this should be a massive surprise – PS3 code was found earlier in the year that indicated Sony’s machine would finally get some attention.

“We’re also happy to announce Dragonborn will be available on PS3 and PC early next year,” they said on their blog in the last hour or so.

It’s not clear whether the delay to the PC version is due to the same technical problems that beset the PS3 one, or some exclusivity period that the 360 version – as is par for the course for Bethesda and big open world adventures of late – is enjoying.

  1. Got it when it came out. Played it for 30mins.

  2. Still runs bad on the PS3.

  3. Any time I’m submerged in water in Skyrim my game freezes and I have to reset my PS3,. Until they fix that problem it’s rendered unplayable :(

  4. YES finally!!!!
i have waited for DLC to skyrim since the release!!!!
    give it to me now!!!
now i just want to build my own house and then i am satisfied!

  5. As much as I loved Skyrim, I’m not sure about the DLC. I was very lucky and didn’t have any trouble with my game save, but I bet if I buy the DLC I will.

  6. far too late, and i can already see January’s headline… “Dragonborn delayed on PS3”

  7. Fantastic game but it’s too long. I got bored after sixty-odd hours.. ;)

  8. @YOURMUMANDME

If you delete all your Skyrim GAME DATA and then re-download the updates the water bug should be gone…..It worked for me so no reason why it wouldn’t work for you.

  9. For me Skyrim was a great game, and I luckily never experienced any of the bugs that others’ had on the way to getting the Platinum for it. I thought about trading it in recently, so now they’ve announced this DLC, I’m glad I kept it…

  10. Poured hours of my life into completing both Oblivion+Shivering Isles on PS3.

Bought Fallout 3 on PS3, but so bugged got shot of it, picked up the GOTY edition off a mate (on 360), once he finished with it, console locked up 3 times, had to clear cache memory to resolve a Mothership Zeta issue.

Bought 360 Skyrim off mate for £10, played solidily for entire weekend, but boredom set in, feels overly familar, had glitches (essential NPC dissapeared), people react to being on fire, hit by frost, lightning etc as if nothing was happening, i could kill Dragons with ease, yet got took out by a Snow Lion…

So safe to say, won’t be buying DLC for it.
