Insomniac’s first third person team-based shooter Fuse (nee Overstrike) will get a playable demo next week, according to publishers EA.
The demo will appear as part of the PS3’s regular Store update (so next Wednesday) and will also appear on the Xbox 360 Marketplace on the 7th.
The demo will allow player to try out the online co-op (with up to four players) or a 2-player split-screen match. In the demo, players will take on the role of four elite operatives.
The game is due at the end of the month. It’s Insomniac’s first multiplatform game.

It’s sad the amount of bad reactions Fuse has got. I really like Insomniac, and whilst the build up to this release hasn’t been great, i’m at least going to give it a try.

Still cautiously optimistic about this game. Yeah, it’s EA, but it’s also Insomniac. Will definitely give the demo a look.

Is it just me or does this game still look terrible. I’ll pick up the demo and have a go, but i’m still predicting this is going to be a huge flop.

Not sure about this, most third person shooters have not had terrible MP sections, does this have a SP campaign too.

I kinda want this to be a good game but I think it will sell poorly. Hopefully it will force insomniac to stick with Sony.

It sounds ridiculous but I have played a few demos before where, if given the option, I would have paid a pound or two to get a bit more time with it :-$

good idea to push out a demo for this, gives me achance to see if it is worth a bargain bin buy in 2 months time
