Sony Planning “Some Intriguing Game Announcements” This Week

Fred Dutton, SCEE Blog Manager, has said that the company has “a busy week in the offing” and teases that there are “some intriguing game announcements planned”.

He made the comments on the official Blog, but didn’t return to the comments section to add anything further, frustratingly.

In previous years Sony has made several announcements in the weeks before E3 (which is next month) – titles revealed this way include LittleBigPlanet 2, MotorStorm Apocalypse and Infamous 2.

It’s assumed that a reveal for Gran Turismo 6 on PS3 is expected soon, but this could be talking about PlayStation Vita or even PlayStation 4 games, potentially to offset anything Microsoft have lined up.

Today’s a bank holiday, so all eyes on the rest of the week.

  1. It’s not really strange no-one has reacted to any comments. It’s a bank holiday in the UK, and therefore the entire country is away.

  2. Wouldn’t really call a GT6 reveal ‘intriguing’! Hopefully there’s something a bit more exciting in store too!

    • Indeed, especially if the PS3 only rumors turn out to be true.

      • Fingers crossed for a Vita version!

  3. they’re finally releasing CS:GO?

    nah, that’s crazy talk. ^_^

seriously though, an FFXIV beta for plus subscribers would be awesome.

  4. I hope they do a reboot of a Playstation classic… like Medievil or G-Police or just a new ip. Don’t think Sequels will sway me much, unless its something that looks amazingly good and impressive on PS4.

    • I usually wait to get the next playstation when a Metal Gear comes to it, but a new Medievil would totally make me buy PS4 day one!

  5. Even if Fred Dutton did reply he can’t really say anything anyway?!?! LoL:D
I hope they do a few New game announcements starting from tomorrow :P & every week leading up to E3 because that would spoil ‘You know who’s’ Fun this month.

  6. And now, we wait. It makes sense for Sony to reveal GT6 now, we all know it’s coming anyway.
