If you haven’t gone and bought The Last of Us yet, you’re a very bad person. I hope that’s not too harsh, but I simply can’t think of a game which has grabbed me and not let go in quite the same way.

Oh alright, I’ll give the first five people who have a decent excuse a pass, but as for the rest of you…

I had a lovely response after last week, and got a few people sending me their rigs, but I’ll always need more so please keep sending me photos!

Stepping up to the plate for this week was tactical20, with quite a considered set up:

First 2 are the vast majority of my PS3 games (and a few dvds/blu-rays). They are just the boxes actually. My wife made me put games/dvds in neat and tidy CD wallet things on the front room book shelf, and the boxes go in storage bags under the spare room bed. I don’t have any exciting special editions, except for my BioShock 2, which came with an art book.

My TV is a 52″ Samsung and I have my PS3 slim (phat died a couple of years ago), Samsung surround sound and Sky+ HD underneath. I also have a Move controller and Buzz/Singstar things gathering dust in a drawer somewhere.

Above the TV are a couple of signed prints from Invader. He is a French street artist I’m into, (have you seen Exit Through The Gift Shop?) and he is famous for replicating space invaders and other video game characters with ceramic tile mosaics, which he then places on the streets of cities all around the world.

He also messes about with other square/grid formats, such as Rubik Cubes, and with QR codes he saw an opportunity to use tiles to create mosaic art which is both ancient in concept, and high tech and modern in function. Genius really!

Anyway, to fund all this travelling and boxes of tiles/Rubik Cubes, he occasionally releases limited run prints through the same arthouse as Banksy, and I am lucky enough to own five of them. Two of which are these QR inspired prints.

If you are a Londoner, you may have spotted some of his pieces, as there are now about 120 odd spread across London from Brixton, to Hackney, to Notting Hill, and at least 50 in Soho/Covent Garden.

I must admit, those QR code inspired pieces caught my attention.

Please do help out and share your set ups by getting in touch with me on Twitter at @teflon, or just sending an email out of the blue to [email protected] If you do the latter, don’t forget to chuck your TSA ID in there, so I know who you are!

By the time you read this, I will have finished my first play through of The Last of Us, which isn’t all that far away for me as I type this. In fact, I’m taking a break from it to just decompress from everything, listen to a spot of salsa music, and let me savour the final few sections. It is one hell of an experience, that’s for sure.

I do hope that the issues with the autosave function yesterday have been resolved for everyone, and that it hasn’t tarnished the experience for too many of you. I know that Crazy_Del actually finished the game, but lost a whopping 5 hours of game time to this problem. He did at least finish Fuse on hard, and polished off his Army of Two: The Devil’s Cartel platinum.

Element666 nabbed himself the Tomb Raider platinum, and is closing in on Far Cry 3’s too. However, he has nothing on the mighty Youles, who took The Darkness 2 and Tomb Raider for his 49th and 50th platinums, respectively. Oh, and there’s a rather different accomplishment in the birth of his (inFamous) second son!

Youles wins.

We do have a few further fastest platinum records this week, with Matthangzhou grabbing one at his third attempt, with Terraria. Samiro05 also posted a Remember Me record which he expects to be beaten, coming in on 13/06 at 21:43. Have you bettered that time?

Taylor Made took the Prototype 2 platinum, bemoaning that a third is not on the way, whilst R1MJAW finished off his Grid 2 career, and Germanos earned himself a a well deserved break after completing his run through of Dark Souls.

Darth Newdar plundered Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time for its Platinum, and now has crossed his fingers that a fifth title might, just maybe, hopefully get made.

Thechunkymunky has blitzed through Uncharted: Golden Abyss over the last few weeks, to grab his first Vita-based platinum. Meanwhile, BadBoyBoogie might be scratching his head as to where all that time went, as he managed to hit his 5000th trophy whilst playing through The Walking Dead.

Finally, in a delectable moment of irony, a inferior race announced that he had finally hit Level 17 with his PSN trophy count… except that our trophy leaderboard curator hasn’t updated his PSN card yet!

That’s almost your lot, but you can head over to page two for the fastest platinums board. To finish off this page, we have the usual submission form for photos and accomplishments. Don’t hold back!

  1. I’m going to have to wait to play it on the PS4 via gaikai….so 2015 for me? lol I have a lot of patience!

    • The Last of Us….I was refering too……

    • Ouch! But why so far off into the future?! :(

      • in 2015 he will bring a PS4 and TLoU back to this date and play it via gaikai wich will work i guess?
        terminator style! :P

      • If Gaikai comes out in 2014 in America, I see probably a 2015 release in the UK by the time they have sorted much of the library.

I’m still playing PSP games on my VIta as I missed that era….missed the PS3 too, so the PS4 will keep me busy until I am 93!! lol (I’m 44 now)

  2. My excuse for not buying The Last of Us is that my pile of shame is taking over my room. I’ll get it when it’s cheap because I’m tight ;)
Pick any of these 2 excuses.

    • It’s like handing in your homework today, all of us slackers have to start making our excuses!

      • “I did buy it, sir, honest! But then I was attacked by a pack of feral dogs and they stole it off of me!”

  3. Thats a really nice setup tactical20, very classy and tidy, the art is great too.

Sorry Teflon, I haven’t even bought The Last Of Is yet, i know its a poor effort but i promise it’s on the wish list pending the bill for my latest car service… which probably won’t be bringing a smile to my face!

    • No, but at least you have an incessant sense of TLOU-esque edge-of-your-seat dread and foreboding…

      • I like what you did there! And my back-up excuse was my cat ate my Amazon, Play, Game, HMV and ShopTo passwords and I have two twisted ankles and can’t walk to the shops.

  4. I went to the midnight launch of The Last of Us, bought the Ellie edition, came home…

Only to see my 5 year old PS3’s blu-ray drive die after 10 minutes of gameplay. :(

New PS3 on the way, but might not arrive until Thursday or Friday. But then there will be 2 PS3s, which would mean I could play online multiplayer games locally for a change (Burnout & Tony Hawk, I’m looking at you)!

    Congrats to Youles!

  5. Yay finally I got a fastest platinum! My excuse for the last of us is my wife bought it but I have to wait until Friday for my survival edition :-D
Also as today is Father’s Day my one year old got me a £35 PSN card. What a daughter! On that note, congrats to Youles on the new bundle of joy!

    • Just got my 30th platinum – dishonored. Loved that game but some of the trophies were a bit silly.

  6. I have my copy teflon and will start playing it today. Fathers day means I can have dominion over the TV today ;D

  7. Im sorry yogh_wayne, but my platinum for Trine was two days earlier than yours :-P
And that Borderlands Platinum? I never really new I was only an hour behind my brother ;-)

Going through TLOU right now and will be diving into the MP side of surviving when I am done with the SP.

    • Nooooooo… There goes another one of my fastest plats :(
      Well done, Radboud :)

On a positive note, I just noticed that my latest plat isn’t on the list yet: Ragnarok Odyssey

  8. Harry bought me TLOU for Father’s Day. So once I’ve finished typing here whilst having a relaxing Father’s Day poop I shall go and play.

    • Isn’t it an 18?! He must have an awesome fake ID to pull that one off! ;)

      • I know right! It’s even better when it’s his round :)

  9. “My wife made me put games/dvds in neat and tidy CD wallet things” – ouch! I can hear the discs screaming for help ! Let them be free !

  10. I went and bought the Joel Edition, beat that ;)

Neat set up, and bloody hell thats a lot of games!
