Earlier we reported on Codemasters’ unveiling of F1 2013. The game, heading to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, will feature the new mode F1 Classics allowing you to drive 80s and 90s F1 cars around the classic circuits, which sounds like it’s going to be a great addition.
Following the reveal, gameplay videos have been released. The first clip is a hot lap around the Silverstone circuit from Jenson Button’s McLaren. There are no punctures during the lap thankfully!
Replacing Hockenheim this season is the Nurburgring circuit which features in the second video. This time you’ll be on board Kimi Raikkonen’s Lotus.
The German Grand Prix was only last week, which Vettel won.

Best part of this article? 80s and 90s are written without apostrophes! Woo! :D I’ll be getting this game for the Platinum and the TSA Championship. F1 2014 is the one I’m proper excited for.

I would’ve gone with 80s’ and 90s’ as they’re both being used in a possessive situation.

I originally did, someone must of edited it…

Hopefully they look out for “must of” too. :-P Sorry, couldn’t resist. :-)

Ha! What a fail from myself. I blame it on my Welsh accent, I type it as how I say it :P

Looking very good, mainly the fact that they’ve remodelled the handling from last years game is a welcome tweak! I wonder if they’ve also had a look at the penalty detection system for this years game which has always been a bit unreliable.
Jerez, Brands Hatch, Imola and Estoril classic tracks is a great addition as well as the legendary 80’s, 90’s drivers and cars……wonder if they’ll include a Schumacher shunt-off in the Racing Scenario challenges :P

I hope Silverstone gets very slashy with people’s tyres.

That should definately be included, a slash ‘n dash?

*sorry, it was hidden but i’ve found my coat* :P

This looks pretty good. I haven’t played a F1 game since my very first PC.

That was lovely. It had the subtle things I’ve been looking for in Gran Turismo replays but never see. It’s hard to even pick up on them but there’s a certain movement/shake/sound that makes it feel that much more real. Hope that makes sense.
