Sony Santa Monica’s New Game To Feature Battlestar Galactica Writer

Michael Angeli, responsible for several high profile TV screenwriting roles (including Battlestar Galactica, Dark Angel and Caprica) has teamed up with Sony Santa Monica (they made the God of War series) to work on their latest game, assumed to be for the PS4.

This comes from the Battlestar Galactica panel at San Diego Comic-Con overnight [via], where Angeli stated he was working with the studio on their new title, which isn’t a God of War game.

Angeli has been writing for the game for two and a half years, which makes the lack of a leak all the more surprising. The full team of 150 staff moved onto the new game – which is still unannounced – directly after God Of War Ascension.

Chances are it’s related to this.

  1. So… something sci-fi related?
    I’d be all over it!

  2. Seems they’re going NDs way and moving on from their franchise after 3 games and a spinoff.

  3. Battlestar Galactica for me is one of TVs best programs, haven’t been impressed by a Sci Fi like that since Babylon 5 and this is tons better and changed the way scifi and TV is made. Definitely in the same league as The Wire and Sopranos.
