Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – Now With Shark Infested Waters

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag featured at San Diego Comic Con. As a result we have got some new screenshots to glisten over. One thing in particular that stands out is the massive Great White Shark.

We’re not talking puny reef sharks here, like those in Far Cry 3, we’re talking 20ft long menacing sharks with the taste for human flesh roaming the seas. Players will definitely have to think twice before taking a swim in the Caribbean waters.

The new protagonist, Edward Kenway, also seems to be holding a mysterious blue cube in one screenshot.

I haven’t been a fan of the Assassin’s Creed series since the second game but the new formula including pirates, sharks and a lush Caribbean setting has definitely reignited my interest for the franchise.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag releases this November on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, with a PS4, Xbox One and PC release date yet to be confirmed.

  1. Those shark models look terrible, but the last screenshot looks gorgeous. I hope there’s still a decent amount of land based missions like in pic 2, I think the sailing will get quite repetitive once the novelty has worn off.

    • I’m hoping for the same. I don’t actually mind the shark model. Can’t wait to play this.

  2. I’m convinced a couple of these are concept are rather than screenshots.

  3. How do you stealthily kill a shark?!

  4. Sold. Show me a shark eating a boat and instantly forget how disappointing AC3 was.

Farewell and adieu to you, fair Spanish ladies.
