Another day, another video for The Elder Scrolls Online, this time showcasing character creation and new game play.
Wolfenstein: The New Order has been delayed into 2014; Bethesda Softworks VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines told Polygon that the game had “been in development for quite some time” but they had encountered challenges developing for both current and next-gen simultaneously.
“Working on next-gen and current gen definitely has an impact, you’re developing for two different things,” explained Peter. “The fact that the next-gen stuff is still moving is also definitely a factor. But the most important thing was definitely just looking where it was at, what they needed to polish. Because it’s just not trying to be a shooter, because it’s trying to be a shooter that also has driving elements, story elements, narrative, stealth sections — each one of those has to be excellent.”
“It’s not just like we’re making a shooter, where if the shooting is good, then all 16 hours of the game will be good because it’s all we’re doing.”
Also delayed is Lone Survivor for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita which has slipped from August to September.

Codemasters founder David Darling has given his thoughts on Microsoft’s massive Xbox One U-turn, he thinks they have made a massive mistake describing physical media like “having a dead body handcuffed” to the console.
“It was interesting how the market did pull back with Microsoft,” he said. “I don’t think Microsoft sold it in the right way – they weren’t strong enough. I don’t think they should have had a physical drive on Xbox One – it’s like having a dead body handcuffed to you. It’s dragging along this dead body and it’s going to slow them down. They’ve let the market pull them back but I think that was a mistake.”
