Podcast: Episode 108 – BioShock Infinite, The Wonderful 101 and Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Retro and throwback versions of products seem to be all the rage, and this week’s podcast sort of falls into that category. Yes, it’s just the original crew this week, with Peter, Lewis and I all finding a microphone and time to record. For some reason Kev’s packed all of his possessions into boxes, so he’s missing this time around – it could be something to do with him moving house.

In the podcast itself we took our usual tour through the week’s news, with Peter also sharing a few brief insights into the recent TSA reshuffle, before moving onto a game heavy discussion. Peter’s been playing The Wonderful 101 and Splinter Cell: Blacklist, while Lewis sat down with BioShock Infinite, as well as venturing out to the cinema to see Only God Forgives.

As for the weekly quiz, Lewis has a one of his fast paced affairs again, which crops up before we take a look at the questions you’ve been sending us.

This podcast features strong language, jokes in poor taste and adult themes, if you’re offended by that then we recommend that you don’t listen to it at all.

  1. Ok Kris, you can call me Dark House if get you a few extra laughs, but many thanks for asking my question to the team.

  2. Not much to write/say much about what is happening to WiiU and Nintendo, because it’s going in the exact direction I thought it would go. No thread to PlayStation, nothing interesting in features, nothing particularly exciting in games. Just as boring as the Wii was – from a “hardcore/oldschool” console gamer point of view, not interested in casual aspects of gaming.

I have to say I’m kind of disappointed about Bioshock Infinite looks to be very overrated when it came out. Everyone was giving it 10/10 and I thought: “damn, now this needs to be one of the ‘king games'”, meanwhile now it looks like it’s not that good. Too bad, I thought it would be as good as the first Bioshock game, which I think was excellent – it was a very good game, but when I went in room where Ryan was it just blew me away.

VIB RIBBON ! Holy shit, I completely forgot about this game. It was bloody fantastic. I played it while listening to Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory and Limp Bizkit – CSATHDFW. Owww, the old days ^^

  3. Great podcast again guys. Do really enjoy the quick paced quiz and Kris’ anger at Portugal’s capital city fiasco was fantastic.
