Xbox One Has “The Best Games”

Microsoft are saying that their games are the best. That’s probably nothing new, but they’ve released a sizzle trailer (which Sony does much better, just saying) and listed the impressive amount of games heading to Xbox One, as well as sharing some facts.

They’ve posted a list of all the games over on the Xbox news site. The titles in bold are exclusive (or timed exclusive) to Xbox One, while the titles in italics have exclusive content coming to the system.

The percentages of new IPs and exclusive games are also quite impressive:

  • 38% of titles are exclusive to Xbox One
  • 37% of titles are brand-new IP
  • 44% of titles will include either timed or exclusive content to Xbox One

So, there you go. Does Microsoft have the best games? We’ll leave that for you to decide.

  1. That’s a pretty good lineup. Mostly want Battlefront though which is ages away.

  2. I dont think anyone can deny Microsoft have the stronger games, PS4 is flooded with sequels and experiences we have all played before (at launch anyway) and Microsoft get that a new generation needs new IP’s from the get go, yes PS4 has The Order 1886 but with no release date im holding of buying a PS4 and getting an Xbox One at launch.

    • how do you know when Sony haven’t even released a list of what games are coming out yet?

      • Killzone = Sequel, Infamous =Sequel. Watch Dogs = Multiplat, Destiny = Multiplat, Knack = New IP but doesnt entice me personally. Xbox One Ryse = new IP, Titanfall = New IP, Quantom Break = New IP, Project Spark = New IP and these are just some games that personally appeal to me and are slated for release in the launch period of the console. Im not hating on PS4 but I buy a console to play games and Xbox One caters to me far more than a PS4 right now which has made my decision to buy an Xox One FIRST.

      • games that will be on PC as well are not exclusive.

      • opposite to you Knack looks more interesting to me.

      • my point was that Gamescom is now, and they will be showing off everything they have, so its a bit forward saying Sony don’t have the games. You can’t even compare what Sony and Microsoft brought to the current gen, Sony had so much more, not just on exclusive games for PS3, but Vita and PSN too. If you think Sony wont have games next gen then there is no hope for you good sir.

  3. The list doesn’t do anything for me, even the exclusives look a bit meh! PS4 all the way.

I wouldn’t even look at the Xbox One if I was a valued customer too, just from what they tried doing to fuck customers over with.

  4. MS definitely have the upper hand with the better games imo – Sony may have the Indie love, but the PS4 is seriously lacking in some big exclusives.

In some ways, I’m thinking it will be better to wait 6 months or so before diving in. Most of the upcoming games I’m looking forward to are multi-plat and cross gen, and so I’ll probably end up getting them on PC as they will be cheaper and better.

  5. Whats stood out for me is The Elder Scrolls Online – always assumed that was gonna be a PC exclusive so I’m pretty chuffed now – despite not intending to buy a X1 at launch…

  6. MS has ‘the best games’ then do they? best have a gander at said games…

Ooohhhh MS you cheeky little scamps, i see what you’ve done there, why you’ve only gone and listed the same old stuff you’ve been banging on about for weeks now.

More Halo+Forza, a new Killer Instinct game by a studio who had a crack at a Silent Hill game and not only screwed the pooch, but bored it to tears 1st, Ryse:Because like QTE’s are sooo next gen, baby!!, another Dead Rising (sorry but buying the 1st put me off series for life), Kinect sports, Zumba Fitness….

Think i’m going to hope the cliche of ‘The best is yet to come’ holds true as so far, there’s nowt here to even get a flutter of interest.

  7. Somewhat underwhelming when you look through the list. I think Minecraft is the only one of those exclusives i would be interested in for PS4.

  8. Sony still has opportunities to show a great deal of stuff at both Gamescom and TGS – MS has said that their presentation at Gamescom will be fairly short, and I’m not even sure they even know TGS exists anymore….

I think MS may have played their hand too soon

  9. That is quite a decent list to be fair. The PS4 list, although maybe not as dynamic has the added bonus of all of the titles being Vita crossplay exclusive!!
    Just saying :P

  10. Sometimes I don’t think it makes sense to buy an xbone because if you already have a pc you can get pretty much all the exclusives anyway then the Sony exclusives can be bought on ps4. If you get the Sony and Nintendo machine ten you’ll have it all. xbox feels like a luxury item that isn’t really required (cue someone to explain why I’m wrong which right now would be helpful as I have talked myself away from xbone as my second machine!)

    • bang on sir, plus the fact Microsoft tried to screw everyone buying the Xbox One, so who says they wont try it again two years down the line. I trust Sony since Playstation came out and I haven’t regretted it yet. Microsoft I have bought both consoles and sold then both within a month.
