Ryse: Son of Rome’s Challenge Editor Will Not Be Available At Launch

The Challenge Editor for the multiplayer Gladiator mode in Ryse: Son of Rome “won’t be available at launch.”

The feature which allows players to create their own multiplayer map and event combinations will presumably be patched in at a later date.

“Right now we’re discussing when that’ll be available,” said Associate producer Michael Smart and added that SmartGlass functionality will “play into” the game mode.

The game is taking somewhat of a beating before launch with Game Informer suggesting playing the game is “as much fun as dialling phone numbers.”

  1. I don’t know … when I dated an English girl, calling her meant punching in about 14 numbers. That was kinda fun. And then she left me. Listen, I don’t really want to talk about it, okay?

    • That’s because the punching is supposed to stop at the numbers.

  2. Not really a huge loss. I’ve not seen the multiplayer promoted at all. This is more a single player game.

  3. seems like the words i see most when next gen comes up these days are “not at launch”

  4. When i dial a lot of numbers, people on the other end talk gibberish! That’s lots of fun!

    • Have they made you aware of the fact you’re calling a premium rate number and paying £1.50 a minute???
