Welcome back to my round-up of the bobbly bits of gaming news that get stuck on your jumper, starting with the delightful, but ultimately pointless, intro video from Project Spark which went into Beta on Windows 8.1 machines this week.
The God Of War Collection for PS Vita has been rated by the ESRB and you will be pleased to know everything has been ported over, including “a sex mini-game in which players interact with topless women in a bedroom or hot bath.”
A YouTube app for the 3DS is now available via the Nintendo eShop, but it does not support 3D videos, which is a bit silly.
Bouncy, even shinier balls across your tellybox on December 17th when Zen Pinball 2 launches on PS4.
Some Xbox One stats, courtesy of Microsoft:
- Over 3 billion zombies killed in “Dead Rising 3”.
- Over 90 million miles driven in “Forza Motorsport 5” – equal to 3,673 trips around the world.
- Over 186 million enemies defeated in “Ryse: Son of Rome”.
- Over 150 million combos in “Killer Instinct”.
Oddly the one stat that is missing is the total number of Xbox Ones that have been sold, perhaps because it’s less than the total number of PS4s that have been flogged?
Another 62 Blockbuster stores are to close with 427 jobs lost. The future of the remaining stores looks shaky as the chain’s administrator, Moorfields Corporate Recovery, has said it had “still not received any acceptable offers” to save what was left the company.
Surprising no-one, Ratchet & Clank Nexus has been rated by PEGI for PS Vita in Europe, although it still does not officially exist.
The voice of Duke Nukem sent this lovely photo to a reviewer who gave his game a low score. We guess he got these printed off, there is no way he signed a photo for every bad review.
Sales of PCs this year look like to worse be than expected with “the most severe yearly fall on record”. Research firm International Data Corporation has indicated that sales of PCs would fall by 10.1% this year, worse than the previous estimate of 9.7%.
Ben Foster, Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell and Rob Kazinsky are to star in the World of Warcraft film. Nope, me niether, apart from the last one, because he used to be in Eastenders then spent most of last year running about with no shirt in True Blood.
Typing of the Dead has recieved Football Manager and Shakespeare DLC. Woo!

Should have had the “bingly bingly obvious news is obvious” phrase thing around that one …

MS trying to avoid bringing attention to Xbone sales figures is just bringing more attention to them, they haven’t really thought it through!

Pretty much like everything else they’ve done with the XB1 then?
