The January PS Plus content has been revealed and it’s a rather large bunch of awesomeness, beginning with critically acclaimed role-playing shooter, Borderlands 2.
Joining that will be the rebooted DmC: Devil May Cry, one of the few games that I have finished this year, whilst those with a PlayStation 4 will get gorgeous indie hit Don’t Starve from Klei Entertainment.
Set in a world of science and magic, Don’t Starve is a wilderness survival game where you play as Wilson an intrepid gentleman scientist who is trapped by a demon and transported into this dark and mysterious world. You must learn to exploit the environment and the inhabitants you will encounter if you want to have any chance of getting back home.
PlayStation Vita owners rejoice, the game you have been waiting to hit PS Plus has arrived: Soul Sacrifice is your game of the month for January.
Joining that will Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend, the latest title in the franchise. This version offers “the most substantial BlazBlue experience to date” and includes all previous DLC characters as standard, the Calamity Trigger & Continuum Shift stories as well as brand new game modes, new stories and new characters.
In summary:
Leaving PS Plus:
- 24th December: Grid 2
- 24th December: Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen
- 24th December: Sonic and Allstars Racing Transformed
- 8th January: Contrast
Entering PS Plus:

- 24th December: Borderlands 2
- 24th December: Soul Sacrifice
- 24th December: Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend
- 8th January: Don’t Starve

DMC for me, want to see what the fuss was about people made, clearly the first 4 DMC sucked but really liked this demo so glad it’s free

Nice! Found the first Borderlands incredibly dull, but willing to try the second one, especially when it’s free.

Report back, fella. I found it offered little more and lost the will to live within the first couple of hours.
Youles
Haha, I was the same. Will let you know….assuming I ever get around to actually playing it :)

It’s supwr awesome Mike. It really comes into it’s own when you have 4 players. The online has improved massively over the 1st one. Plus with all the challenges you’ll be hooked.
Plus I can finally give my friend his copy back.
Playstation Plus. The best thing to happen to Sony since the mini-disc.

If you play on your own or with randoms it’s kinda meh. But is hugely fun and entertaining when played as a coop with friends

Absolutely f*cking incredible.

I’m not sure Sony can use your strapline but I would. ;-)

Was so close to buying Borderlands 2 the other day… So glad I didn’t. :-D
Plus, despite buying DMC on release, completing it and trading it in, I will still be downloading it again.
It’s just that good… :-)

Holy bazooker sticks – best month yet. Been wanting Borderlands 2 for so long and dmc, but to then top it off with Soul Sacrifice. Sorry PS4 – time to gather some dust!

I love playstation plus. I don’t know how sony are pulling this off and still making a profit, but I’m not complaining.

Heard good things about Don’t Starve, will definitely be giving that a go, just a shame we have to wait till the 8th?! Whats that about :( Guess Resogun is sticking around for a bit longer then, no mention of that being removed (will that be the annual game like on Vita with Uncharted and Gravity Rush).
adevow
Don’t Starve releases on the 8th.

That is a stonking update! I wish I had some time off over Crimbo!

Don’t Starve is a cheeky little nugget.
