BlazBlue: Chronophantasm Apparently Coming To Vita, At Least In Japan

It looks like BlazBlue: Chronophantasm, the third entry in Arc System Works 2D fighting series, could be making its way to the Vita, at least in Japan. This information is apparently from Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, who apparently have the scoop on this announcement. The console version of Chronophantasm launched in Japan and North America, but never officially made it to European markets.

This means that the Vita version of Chronophantasm is likely to be a Japanese exclusive for a while, then released in North America. A European release could happen, but is much harder to predict considering the third BlazBlue not releasing here. It does have a fan base in Europe, and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is part of January’s Vita PS Plus offering, at least until the end of today. This promotion could be a way to the get the series in more people’s hands, making it possible for bigger demand the next game to reach the shores, but we’ll have to wait for any official annoucement.
