Explore Galak-Z On The Go As The Game Is Now Coming To Vita

Back at E3 last year Galak Z was part of Sony’s indie section of the presentation when the procedurally generated space shooter was announced for the PS4. Now 17-BIT, the developer behind the game, has just announced that it will also be releasing on the Vita.

Galak-Z has taken inspiration from the sci-fi animes from the late 70s and early 80s, along with more recent games such as Spelunky and Don’t Starve. As mentioned the levels  and enemy spawn points will be randomly generated, with an emphasis also placed on exploring the galaxy that has been created for you. There’s still no release date for Galak-Z but 17-BIT are saying it will be out in 2014.

  1. That’s great, since I don’t get have a PS4 but do have a Vita :)

    • Same, and I’m really pleased with the generous splooge of indie games that’ve been announced for our beloved hand held in the last few weeks! 2014 could be a big year for the Vita.

      • Suspect its unlikely but it would be fantastic if it was cross-buy, since I do plan to get a PS4 eventually.

      • It’s becoming more common so it may well happen :)

  2. This is my first time seeing it, reminds me of the old Asteroid games.

  4. Ooh, love a good shootemup it looks like one of those games where the awesomely handy PS pause button on the vita will be invaluable, to save facing the consequences of being late back from lunch or similar parlance. :P
