SingOn Bringing Streaming Karaoke To The PlayStation 3

A new singing game has been announced for the PlayStation 3 in the form of the SingOn, which will use streaming to bring music to the console. This is different to how SingStar does things in that you need to download songs, or using the discs to access songs. The game will feature a variety of genres of songs from 60 years of music, and each week the UK Top 20 chart will be added to the service for players to sing through.

SingOn will be a free download and will come with 10 free song to try out, but after that there will be different access tiers known as Time Passes. You can get a three hour pass for £2.99, a 48 hour pass £5.99, or a year’s pass for £49.99. There will also be some synthesisers in the form of TuneOn and RoboOn included within the game, and an app for mobiles through which songs can be queued.

  1. It does not look like they will have original videos included with the songs. I also did not see any info on whether it has any multiple player or leader board features. I will give it a try.
