Payday 2 Is Breaking Into The Games Library Of PS4 & Xbox One

Overkill Software has announced that Payday 2 will be breaking down the doors of the new generation, and will release on PS4 and Xbox One in a Crimewave edition. No details of what this edition will include, but it is likely that all the current DLC will make the jump as well as some brand new content to bring in players.

It does continue the trend of porting over last generation games to the new machines, and it will be interesting to see how many other games will take part this early in the new console cycle. We’ll likely hear news on a release date and the included content over the next few days.

  1. Ok, so now its getting abit much…

  2. This is B.S. !!!!!!
How about supporting the PS3 & 360 versions before moving on!! The PC has had like 21 updates & 10-20 DLCs, but almost a year later us console players have gotten nothing but a GIANT middle finger…….& now THIS?!
I deleted PD2, cuz I was tired of waiting on DLC. Now they want 2 charge me again for the SAME treatment ? Funk dat , Funk you, & Funk your business practices Overkill .

    • I’m with you on this one but played it on the PC. The game launched too early, was patched to buggery (and subsequently broken until further patches) then palmed off with pathetic DLC and weapon packs. They very thing my friends and I would have continued doing would have been to play Payday 2 if it had more levels.

A lovely concept and, for a while, a lovely game. Sadly, you see through the limited development team and realise they’ve bitten off way more than they can chew.

  3. I can understand porting PS or XBOX exclusive games as alot of people who bought a PS4 may have had a 360 before that and so never had the chance to play certain games. Don’t get why they are making ports of games that aren’t exclusives and were available on more than one console.

  4. I’d buy a remake of a great game because I like to play great games again and again.

Payday is not a great game.

  5. Won’t be buying this. Kind of enjoyed it when you got some sensible people together online but that was the only time I did enjoy it.
