FIFA 15 Will Be Available On All Formats Except Wii U

The annual FIFA game launches this September and EA have revealed the formats on which you will be able to have a kick about.

Of course, there will be PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One versions and as expected the game will also launch on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. Gamers on the move will be able to play on 3DS and PlayStation Vita but there will not be a version for the Wii U, presumably because of the low install base.

The Wii, 3DS and PS Vita versions are labelled as a “Legacy Edition” which probably means the same game as last year but with updated players and stats. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are listed as getting “a version of FIFA 15” but “not all game features are available on all gaming platforms”.

For the first time in fourteen (!) years, there will be no PlayStation 2 edition.

  1. Wotn be buying the vita version then, its still the same game that was released with the console!! How they hell they get away with charging full price for it is beyond me.

  2. Cannot believe they’ve only just stopped making FIFA for the PS2! I thought they would have stopped ages ago!

  3. The install base argument makes you look ignorant. In terms of actual numbers, Wii Us install base is comparable to PS4, so if it were the case there’d be no Xbox One or PS4 version. We all know the ‘Origin’ of EA’s decision. They are arrogant enough, thinking they have the kind of clout to kill off Nintendo by publically denouncing the Wii U in a very childish way.

Not cause for alarm, they’ll no doubt have another 5 or 6 Fifa games this generation that they can either release or not on Wii U. They’ll all be the same game anyhow.
