EU PS Store June Charts: Outlast Is Lasting Longer Than Expected

The EU PS Store charts have been published and for some reason Outlast has jumped from 7th place back to the top spot on the PS4 chart. The game was part of the pre-E3 sale so that may account for its rise to claim first place.

Watch Dogs is still selling well and Valiant Hearts: The Great War is deservedly the highest new entry.  Borderlands 2 continues to the top the PS Vita chart whilst Minecraft claims the top of the PS3 chart and has now sold more copies than all the tea in China, or the corn in Carolina.

Yes, I did just quote the 1981 hit single “Land of Make Believe” by Bucks Fizz, deal with it.

The top four places in the retrotastic PS Classic chart are taken by Crash Bandicoot titles, you really do have to wonder why they have yet to make a new game. Having said that, if the old games are selling, they don’t need to do they, money for old rope.

Here are the full charts, discuss and squabble about them in the comments section.

  1. I don’t have plus and so bought Outlast in the sale. Expect to see Resogun at the top next month perhaps?

  2. But is it Outlasting expectations?

    • Dagnabbit that is a better headline.

  3. Who on earth buys full games releases like watch dogs off the eu ps store? They’re ridiculously overpriced.

    • I dunno but I wish they’d stop! Maybe then someone would review the insanity that is PS store pricing.

    • It does seem puzzling, but then the person buying it does get 2 licenses, meaning 2 systems with the same account could play the game. Other than that I don’t know. It’s crazy stuff.

    • It’s me, it’s me! I also buy all my groceries at the petrol station. :-P

    • The prices on UK psn are cheaper than in some stores in Europe. So it could be those people.

    • If you buy psn cards online you can pick up the games on the psn store for a couple of pounds cheaper than an actual retail store.
Watchdogs special digital edition ended up £2 dearer than what my friend got the standard disc disk for.
I’ve not bought a disk game yet but I only buy new releases. If a game had been out a month or so I would get it on disc.

  4. How are cross buy sales counted? 1 across each platform or just the platform that the purchase is made on?

I usually use the web store and just purchase whichever icon comes up the quickest on a search.

Yes, I am genuinely interested to know this… (I’m bored waiting for the footy to start…)

  5. I must return to it, it’s genuinely frightening. Run, hide or die. The opening disclaimer is even chilling :-/

  6. Very good..! Outlast definitely deserves it to beat everything else for now.
Would be interesting to see actual numbers, how low these are for the Vita, etc. But that won’t happen, of course.
