Reload Studios Formed By Former Call Of Duty Devs, Virtual Reality Main Focus

A new studio has risen up in the form of Reload Studios, made up of ex Call of Duty devs and former Disney animator Nik Ranieri. As can be expected from a development team that know their way around making games where people shoot things, Reload has announced that its first title will be a shooter, though there is no name or indication as to the whether it will be military or sci fi. However the team does want to have the game out by next year, and the studio is targeting virtual reality, as well as next gen consoles, and even mobile devices.

Co-Founder James Chung had the following to say.

“When I first saw what the latest round of VR devices could do, I realized these were not just peripherals but brand new platforms that could transform the way we experience, interact with and create media. It was the perfect time to follow my passion and bring together the most talented people I know under one roof to form a development culture that promotes creativity and collaboration.”

The team is currently only made up of 12 people, but it will be cool to see what Reload has in store for the likes of Oculus and Project Morpheus.

  1. 12 people, next gen, VR, 18 months?

Good luck! But surely something to keep an eye on…

    • Thinking the same thing. Tad optimistic but good luck!

  2. I like how you imply it must surely be either military or sci-fi, mind you 99% chance it will be. I demand more medieval shooters!
