Killzone: Shadow Fall Intercept Progression Tweaked Ahead Of Stand Alone Release

The co-op portion of Killzone Shadow Fall, known as Intercept, will be released as a stand alone game in the very near future and ahead of this Guerrilla Games have tweaked the progression system.

Based on your feedback, we’ve made some adjustments to Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept’s progression system. Challenges that were deemed too difficult or time-consuming to complete have had their requirements reduced, and it is now possible to view your progress on the post-match screen.

The following challenges have been modified for each Combat Role:

  • Banked Points target requirements have been decreased by 50%
  • Headshot requirements have been decreased by 50%-66%
  • Ability-related challenge requirements have been rebalanced
  • Weapon-related challenge requirements have been decreased by 75%

Two new maps were recently released for the multiplayer portion on the game both of which include environmental hazards. The Terminal features high speed trains crossing the battlefield which can crush an unwary participant, whilst the Stormgracht has a wheel that can be turned to flood a large portion of the map.




  1. KZ:SF was the second game I got for the PS4, it was the cheapest game at the time (€25/£20) and I find it’s perfect for scratching the online FPS itch from time to time, especially for someone who will never pony up €70 for a new game!

  2. Sounds good. Still hoping for a sale on the Season Pass later this year though

    • Its only £16 anyway & the co-op is very good, if a little repetitive.
