Media Molecule tried to port Tearaway to another platform. But with the game’s use of all the PS Vita’s bells and whistles, they weren’t able to do that. So, instead of giving up they decided to do something else, and take a look at a different piece of hardware – the DualShock 4 – and create a new Tearaway experience.
You’ll be able to shine the light bar into the screen, and explore much larger worlds than in the PS Vita version, with the use of a paper plane to fly about. The trailer’s below.
Tearaway Unfolded is due to release exclusively on PS4 next year.

Is this the new MM thing that’s been hinted at? Count me in. Liked the look of the previous game, but didn’t think it worth springing for a vita just to play this and LBP.

Nah, this will be from the smaller team within Mm who created the original Tearaway for Vita, the main team are still keeping hush hush on that big new experience that’s been hinted at.

Tearaway is a fantastic little game. I feel bad it took me so long to pick it up. Gonna deffo grab this one!

Just like the Vita version I’ll be day 1 on this too.
Although I was quite surprised by my little one saying it looks boring, as I’ve not been able to prize it out of her Vita for at least 4 months. I think that opinion will change upon release.
