New The Evil Within Trailer Advises You Make Every Last Bullet Count

Bethesda has released a new trailer for The Evil Within, this time focusing on the weapons and the upgrade system found in the game. The trailer makes it clear that bullets won’t be easy to come by so you’ll have to do everything in your power to find ways to survive, be that hiding in the cupboard or using the traps littered around the place as things to help fend off the monsters. There’s also a brief look at the Asylum where you can upgrade Sebastian’s items as well as him.

I played The Evil Within at EGX last week. It did have a rather eerie feeling to it but it wasn’t too scary. Well except for one bit that I won’t mention here as it would spoil the surprise. The area I was in allowed for some exploration of the environment, going into different rooms to discover items and also things relevant to the story. It looked good and the enemy designs were rather creepy, but it would require more time than I had to get properly immersed in it. Still, the death animations were rather gory.

The Evil Within releases October 14th for PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

  1. Bullets are pretty pointless as they don’t kill them, like the red zombies in the Residential Evil remake. You have to burn them to kill them after you’ve taken them down. I got into a lock in at Game. I wasn’t overly impressed.
