New Assassin’s Creed Rogue Trailer Shows Why Shay Turns Against The Brotherhood

Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed Rogue, the last gen instalment of the series releasing this year. The trailer shows Shay, the protagonist, turning from an assassin to a templar with the event that turned him away from the Order being referenced. It appears to be have been something that cost a lot of people their lives and it could be a mass fire. Possibly the Boston Fire of 1760, though no one was killed in that but many were left homeless.

In the trailer you see the likes of Achilles, Connor’s mentor in Assassin’s Creed III, though much younger and very much an active assassin. Adéwalé, Edward Kenway’s shipmate and friend, also makes an appearance as does a younger Haytham Kenway. There will be a lot of gaps filled to show what happened between the events of Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed III, and there will also be some link to Unity though what this remains unknown.

Ubisoft also confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Rogue will be releasing on PC in early 2015. PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to get it from November 11th in North America, and the 14th in Europe.

  1. What I liked best about AC1 was that there was a much heavier focus on Assassin’s vs Templars ideologies and how they clashed on how they believed the world should be ‘run’. The video looks like it will be similar, in terms of questioning what is right and wrong.

Considering they’ve now announced it for PC too, they might as well just get it over and announce it for PS4 & One.

  2. Wow, fantastic trailer. Was prepared to simply give Rogue a miss but now I’m interested.
