A new side scrolling platformer going by the name of Mekazoo has been revealed by Good Mood Creators, and I have to say the trailer has put me in a bit of a good mood. The music sounds fantastic, the visuals look vibrant, and for a brief moment I was reminded of early Sonic titles. I can also see some inspiration from Rayman in there too. Mekazoo is expected to release later this year.
The game itself allows you to control five mekanimals, starting with an armadillo who is very fast. Through the journey new characters are unlocked including a frog, a wallaby, a panda, and a pelican. The mekanimals can also pair up and players will be able to switch between characters freely. While the game is a 2D platformer it is set in a 3D world, with the camera shifting through different angles when the on screen action demands it.
Though a solid date isn’t confirmed Mekazoo does look like it’ll be worth keeping an eye on.
