Warner Bros. Details The Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass

Last week Warner Bros. Interactive announced the Batman: Arkham Knight season pass, which will cost players £32.99. At that time the publisher didn’t give any real details about what extra content would be available for Rocksteady’s latest title, which saw quite a bit of an outcry across the internet. After all that’s quite a bit of money to ask for when players don’t know what the money will get.

Now Warner Bros. has released details of some of the content Season Pass holders will get, including making Batgirl a playable character.

Batgirl: A Matter of Family: An all new prequel story expansion in an entirely new location where you play as Batgirl for the very first time in the Arkham series.

Batgirl

The Season of Infamy: Play as Batman in all new story missions featuring legendary super-villains invading Gotham City, with new story arcs, missions and gameplay features.

Gotham City Stories: Play as Batman’s key allies in narrative missions extending their storylines, from both before and after the events in Batman: Arkham Knight.

Legendary Batmobiles with Themed Tracks: Drive the most iconic Batmobiles from Batman’s 75-year history, on custom-built race tracks, each themed to that Batmobile’s specific era. Every Batmobile will be drivable across every race track.

Crimefighter Challenge Maps: Engage in a series of new challenge maps utilizing the unique play styles of Batman and his allies.

Character Skins: A variety of skins from across the eras for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman.

The publisher has also announced that more details will be releasing more information each month as development continues on the content.

  1. I still find the price somewhat high.
I just pre-ordered the full game and the season pass on pc for £23.
No wonder my PS4 sits here gathering dust.

Need some more killer exclusives on console!

  2. It’s starting to sound like the season pass will have more content than the main game.

    • …but how much had been culled from the main game to create this stuff for the season pass?

      • I can’t help but feel that the whole season of infamy section stinks of being withheld from the game.

Don’t see me buying this full price, probably wait for game of the year, or complete game version as it should be called, before parting with any cash.

      • Quite a lot I think. There’s also the Red Hood story dlc which is exclusive to Game. The phrase is used a lot but this does genuinely feel like we’re getting half the game on disc and the rest is behind season passes & preorder exclusives.

@Sad Panda yep I decided to give this a miss until the complete edition arrives later.

    • well, games these days do seem to be just delivery platforms for dlc, rather than, you know, games.

  3. Going on how the Catwoman DLC was implemented i can only asssume that half of the in-game content is going to be locked away behind a paywall.

    • And if I remember correctly there was a mess up with those codes where some didn’t even work!

  4. I’ll just wait for the GOTY edition, it’ll have everything.

  5. Keep the challenge maps, keep the “skins” and “outfits” and definitely keep different coloured batmobiles and race tracks (WTF anyway? race tracks?!). Gimme another, cheaper, season pass with just the extra story content/missions.

  6. If they put the price of the base game up £5 for everyone but included the dlc for everyone, they’d make more money.

    • They wouldn’t, nobody would buy that because they’d just see it as an overpriced game.

      • I don’t think £40 is overpriced for a AAA PS4 game. Although I am aware it is selling for more than that most places. Got a 2 for £70 deal. But even £45, it isn’t going to lose many if any sales.

You could argue games HAVE gone up £5 aswell.
