Techland Put Hellraid On Hold, Focussing On More Dying Light Instead

Polish developer, Techland, have announced on Facebook that they are sending their fantasy game Hellraid “back to the drawing board” and will be consolidating the time and resources to expand Dying Light further.

“In the recent months we conducted an internal analysis and came to the conclusion that Hellraid, in its current shape and form, is not meeting our own expectations for this project,” explain Techland. “Therefore, we decided the best course of action would be to send it back to the drawing board and invent our dark fantasy title anew.”

Since the release of Dying Light, Techland seem to have hit their stride with a steady stream of updates as well as the Developer Tools function which gives fans the chance to create their own playground on the PC version. The admission that Hellraid has not matched their vision is a positive sign that they’re determined to create a similarly successful and well received game in the near future.
