Fallout Shelter Comes To Android On 13th August

From being a surprise announcement at Bethesda’s E3 show to storming the download and profit charts on the Apple App Store, Fallout Shelter has been a big hit for Bethesda, and it’s about to get even bigger. Fallout Shelter is making its way to Android devices on 13th August.

Alongside this, there will be a new update to the game that does a little bit more than fix the minor issues and bugs, and will add the character of Mr. Handy – a many-limbed floating robot companion – as a potential reward from loot boxes. Just as with any of your vault dwellers, you can use him in the vault, send him into the wasteland or have him help defend from the new threats which include Deathclaw invasions and Molerat infestations.

There might be a few more weeks to wait for Android owners, but in the meantime, you can check out Blair’s impressions from when the game originally released on iOS.

  1. I don’t know how I feel about this, it appears the hype for it has died down a lot since release. Nice little free game though, so I shouldn’t complain.

    • It has died down, because people has been playing it like crazy on IOS and finished it.

As an Android owner, I’m looking forward to this a lot.

    • Yeah I am and Android tablet and phone owner so I’m interested in trying it out even though I’ve watched quite a bit online.

  2. I must be the only person with a Windows tablet. Got it for reasons other than games but I’d really like to see the odd game ‘coming to Windows’, maybe the big 10 update will make a difference.

    • I’d heard someone had bought one! :P
