Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition Dated For October 27th Release

Nordic Games has announced that Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition will be releasing on October 27th for PS4 and Xbox One, and will cost around $29.99. That seems to translate to around the £20 at least according to the likes of Amazon and GAME. Nordic Games has stated that it has reworked all the assets in Darksiders II, attempted to get rid of the bugs that became known about, and rebalanced the DLC content so it fits better into the game.

John Pearl of Gunfire Games said:

“It’s rare that as developers we get the opportunity to revisit one of our previous games. The passage of time and the numerous games we’ve worked on since Darksiders II shipped has allowed us to return to it with a fresh perspective. With that said, we went back to what is a huge game and addressed things we didn’t have time for or didn’t notice the first time.”

The Deathinitive Edition will be in 1080p and has an improved graphic render engine so the lighting should be better. All the DLC will be included too which should make the full game last up to 30 hours of total play time.

  1. Might try this. I liked the first one but never got around to playing the second game.

    • Same as me. Will wait for a gaming lull and perhaps pick this up

  2. I hope there’s no more super obvious draw distance on shadows. It was so distracting seeing shadows pop up in a perfect line five meters ahead.

    I hope it’s 60FPS, then I’d likely be sold.
