Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition Is “Just The Start”

A developer using the name MegalomaniacNG, a.k.a. Reinhard Pollice, Executive Producer at  Nordic Games, has responded to a Steam thread calling for Darksiders 3 and it looks like the game may be on the way.

“Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition was just the start. Since we acquired the franchise we were looking for options for doing a DS3 [Darksiders 3]. The remaster was just a way to get some spotlight on the franchise again, reactivate the community and have a better starting position for DS3.”

Presumably the remaster will help fund some of the development costs of Darksiders III, although Nordic games have yet to make any official announcement about a third game in the series.

Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition is out now for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

  1. Haven’t tried 2 yet but did thoroughly enjoy #1. Good news, methinks.

  2. Thought the first game played like a grownup 3d zelda game and loved it. Played 2 hours of the second and chastised myself for buying the season pass bundle.

For me its one of those games that should have stopped with the first one.

  3. Great news!

Loved the first one, however managed to miss the 2nd one as wasn’t really gaming much at that point.

Picked up the remaster the other week and really enjoying it. although camera can be a little annoying at times
