Call Of Duty: Black Ops III’s Awakening DLC Launches February 2nd On PS4

Activision has confirmed that the Awakening DLC for Call OF Duty: Black Ops III will be released on February 2nd for PS4, with other platforms likely to follow around a month later. However, this will exclude players on PS3 and Xbox 360 as the content will not be available on those consoles. The DLC pack will include four maps and the first chapter of the Zombies adventure, Der Eisendrache.

Der Eisendrache is set during World War II in a medieval castle where Element 115 has been discovered. Players will control the likes of Richtofen, Nicolai, Takeo and Dempsey to take on the zombie hordes. The four maps that will be available for multiplayer are Gauntlet, Skyjacked, Rise and Splash.

Gauntlet has three lanes which have their own looks including jungle, sub-zero arctic zone and an urban cityscape. The location is a military training location. Splash is located in an abandoned water theme park with waterslides and river rides included. Rise is set on a construction project outside the city of Zurich of a subterranean research campus. Skyjacked is reimagining of Hijacked from Black Ops II, and players will fight on a VTOL in the sky.

  1. I have seen no end of Black Ops 3 articles since it was released, not one has reported on how bad the game is when you play as part of a party. What is going on, is everyone afraid to report the truth about this game. Dont get me wrong, its a great game and plays well when you are on your own, however as soon as you party up the game is laggy, there is massive latency (ie the opposing team are way ahead of what you see on your screen) and parties get disconnected and thrown into different lobbies.

    • I don’t think many of the staff play it to be honest, so it’s not something we would encounter.

    • To be honest I’ve always found there to be latency, in a party or not! The kill-cam often shows events split-seconds different to how they appears to happen. Like when you start shooting someone in the back, but they kill you first! On the kill-cam it’ll show that you didn’t hit them until they turned around!

  2. I can’t wait for the zombies map – as always zombies is the best part of Treyarch’s CoD.
