Customisation To Feature Heavily In Samurai Warriors 4 Empires

Carrying on the sub-series’ tradition, Samurai Warriors 4 Empires is set to include a expansive suite of customisation options for players to tinker around with. For those confused between Empires and the regular Samurai Warriors 4, this latest edition can be viewed as a tactical spin-off, immersing you in historical campaigns that rely not only on skill in battle but diplomacy too.

One returning feature to Empires is the ability to swap out established characters for your own custom-built ones. As in previous instalments, you’ll have access to a wide range of options with which to modify the appearance of avatars both on the battlefield and during cutscenes. Fans will also be able to share their designs online while importing images from their hard drives to create custom portraits and family crests.

During any hard-fought campaign a castle will act as your base of operations, housing any generals you happen to recruit along the way. As with the characters themselves, these can be developed and given a fresh lick of paint.

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires is slated to launch on March 11th on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. Be sure to check out our review of the original Samurai Warriors 4 as well as our less than flattering opinions on last year’s Samurai Warriors 4-II.
