Gears of War 4 Is Out On October 11th

It might have a 4 at the end of the title, but Gears of War 4 marks the start of a brand new story within the franchise. Marcus, Dom, Damon and all the others have stepped to one side, with JD Fenix finding himself at the heart of a new generation of Gears of War heroes.

Their story is set to be told on October 11th, as a new threat comes to menace what remains of humanity, 25 years after the events of Gears of War 3.

For those who bought Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on either Xbox One or Windows 10, they’ll be able to join the multiplayer beta for Gears 4 on April 18th, before it opens its doors to all Xbox Live Gold members on April 25th.

Giving Xbox One beta access to those who bought Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Windows 10 is a little confusing, as Gears of War 4 has not been announced for PC. Then again, it’s being built in Unreal Engine 4, and it’s not other Microsoft exclusives haven’t made the jump to Windows…

  1. Really surprised it’s so soon.

Didn’t MS say they’ll be doing alot more games for Win10 now, but it does seem strange that they haven’t announced it now.

  2. Not much enthusiasm for this, which is surprising.
