Hitman GO: VR Edition Out Now On Oculus Rift And Gear VR

Though it was announced a little while ago, it’s still a touch unusual to see that Square Enix have brought one of their most popular and well received mobile titles to virtual reality, of all things. Hitman GO: VR Edition is out today for Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR.

“Following Hitman GO’s successful release on mobile, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Steam, the VR release feels like a natural progression for the title.” said Patrick Naud, Head of Studio at Square Enix Montréal. “By embracing this new platform, we can provide gamers with a richer level of interaction with Hitman GO’s beautiful board game aesthetics and physicality at a level of immersion we’ve never been able to achieve before.”

Of course, you won’t be taking first person control, but will instead be in an abstracted VR world that lets you view the board in front of you from different angles, thanks to head tracking in the VR systems.

Including all of the 91 levels from the main game and it’s expansions, without any in app purchases, it’s priced at $7.99 / €7.99 / £5.99 on Gear VR and $9.99 for Oculus Rift.
