Boasting “thirty plus” hours of content, it’s easy to see why so many of us are stoked for The Witcher 3’s newest expansion. Launching on May 31st, Blood and Wine follows Geralt as he travels to Toussaint, a brand new region loosely based on medieval France. Today, developer CD Projekt Red has posted a new trailer, showcasing this new environment and what players can expect to find there.
From what we’ve seen, it’s absolutely gorgeous. Instead of murky skies and grunting peasants, Toussaint is an idyllic rural stretch with plenty of vineyards to fuel its drunken revelry.
Wherever a Witcher goes, however, there are monsters in tow. As the title suggests, there will be plenty of vampiric nasties to hunt down when the sun sets over this otherwise marvellous landscape.
