F1 2016 Will Be Released On August 19th

Codemasters has confirmed that F1 2016 will be released on August 19th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The news comes via a new trailer in which Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo and Renault’s Jolyon Palmer race around Azerbaijan’s Baku circuit, the new addition to the Formula One racing calendar. Both racers discuss the game as well as how they’re considering tackling the track when coming to race day.

F1 2016 will feature a 10 year career mode as well as the safety car too.

From the heady days of the Mega Drive up until the modern day gaming has been my main hobby. I'll give almost any game a go.

  1. So F1 2016, Assetto Corsa, and Forza Horizon 3 all within a month of each other, and all outright worthy of a day one purchase. An expensive month, but what an ensemble. That’ll be me sorted for the year.

Shame about people criticising the recent E3 footage. The game is such a big leap it bears little resemblance to the 2015 game.

  2. Any word on if Codies will release a demo?

  3. Ricciardo’s Flying Lap has been on the F1 website for a little while but it’s good to see it from Palmer’s point of view. I think Ricciardo is right about turns 8, 9 & 10. I wonder who’s going to be the first to put it into the wall?

    • I can understand Rosberg and Button’s concerns about the old town section of the track. A video of the safety car doing a lap shows the track at that part to be incredibly narrow, and it’s uphill too. One car failure and it could be like that old Monaco race where all the cars had to stop at Casino because of a jam.

    • If I were a betting man, I’d put money on it being Verstappen. He doesn’t seem to handle walls very well!

      • Looks like I got the team right, but the driver wrong. This is why I’m not a betting man!

      • Ha yeah, and Ricciardo was hoping it wouldn’t be him. Looks like Turn 13 is the one to watch.

  4. Nice. TSA people, PS4-assemble.
