No Man’s Sky Has Gone Gold

No Man’s Sky is a game that has managed to capture the imagination of a lot of people, especially due to its scope. No one will ever be 100% able to complete the game considering due to the size of No Man’s Sky universe it would take five billion years to just spend a second on each planet. It is one of the most ambitious games to be developed, and considering it is coming from the small team at Hello Games makes that a little bit more impressive.

Now Hello Games has a cause to celebrate as Sean Murray has confirmed that No Man’s Sky has gone gold.

No Man’s Sky will be released on August 9th in North America and August 10th in Europe for PS4.

  1. Yay!

  2. Well done to all at Hello Games, i’m looking forward to exploring the universe they’ve created and possibly making it home in time for tea … in the year 2525…. or possibly even well after bedtime if they add VR.

  3. Only for Microsoft to sue them for using the term Gold.

I just wanted to make a being sued joke and MS was the one that came to mind. Yeah, fuck Sky. Seriously? Suing a small developer over the term Sky? Bastards.

But we’ll see if it’ll be a sucess or not. Could see myself picking it up if i had a PS4.

    • Mwahahaha

      • Dr Evil is reported to have sued Zb100 for the use of Mwhahahaha.

In other news, Steven got sued for using his name.

I hate humanity. *is sued for that* GODDAMNIT!

  4. Not long to go until we get lost in space……for years!

  5. Always believe in your soul.

    • You’ve got the power to know
      You’re indestructible

  6. Really excited about this game :-)

  7. Great Scott!
It’s a small touch but I like how they shared the news with a photo of the team so you can see how genuinely happy they are to have reached the finish line.
Hopefully the death threats will stop now. It still baffles me that anyone who’s seen Sean Murray would send him anything like that, he’s like the nicest guy!

    • …are you a thief?
Seems like you have a mouth full of gold teeth!

  8. so he’s finally got time to have a shave? ^_^

  9. Surely this will blow away record sales on day one? Beat Uncharted 4?

    • Not with (what is perceived as) a niche genre. Can’t see it happening. However, being proved wrong would be the most wonderful surprise. :-)

  10. Congrats Hello Games! Look at that happy bunch of people, beers in hand, big grins, they look bloody pleased with themselves and so they should be!
