Right, pay attention at the back: First there was Ark: Survival Evolved, which came out on PC and Xbox One. Then there was a spin off multiplayer shootery thing, Ark: Survival Of The Fittest, which came out on PC and was meant to be on consoles last month, but was put on hold.
Now Ark: Survival Of The Fittest, a free to play game, is to be merged back in to Ark: Survival Evolved on PC, but the console versions of Ark: Survival Of The Fittest are still on hold. PlayStation 4 gamers get Ark: Survival Evolved this Christmas with PSVR support included.
“It is very important for us to see how SotF progresses and we want to make sure we’re making the right choices,” say developers Studio Wildcard. “We understand that these changes are quite big and will impact the future of game, but hope you can understand our reasons to do so and will continue to support the game mode you love.”
“Survival of the Fittest will be maintained as a playable game mode internally. If there are issues with the game, we will resolve them,” they add. “If we’re able to make performance updates due to optimisation work done on the main game, SotF will also receive them.”
