The Assassin’s Creed Movie Does Feature Assassins From The Games

As I am sure you are aware the forthcoming Assassin’s Creed movie stars Michael Fassbender and he is playing a completely new character, namely Callum Lynch in the present day and Aguilar de Nerha in the past.

Marion Cotillard plays Sophia Rikkin, another new character who is the daughter of Alan Rikki, who has featured in the games. The only Assassin-ish character we knew about lifted directly from the game is Baptiste, who appeared in the PS Vita spin off Liberation, and will be played by  Michael K. Williams.

However, it appears there will be plenty more assassins springing to life within the movie. Production armorer Tim Wildgoose, who probably should have not lett he cat out of the bag, explained all to Entertainment Weekly.

While it’s been previously announced that some weapons from the games will appear as background Easter eggs, Wildgoose confirmed that some of the items created from the Ubisoft files will be used in the film by their original owners. “There’s basically a few assassins taken straight from the games, who we get to see in the films,” Wildgoose said. “We actually get to use some of the real game weapons in there.”

However, don’t get your hopes up, Altair and Ezio will not be making a cameo, “They’re not main characters from the games, but they’re very famous characters that the fans will probably enjoy.”

  1. Ah, good, Not Ezio or Altair. No ***** them up then. :D I’m rather bitter about video game films and AC being 80% modern day is a bad sign in my books.

  2. I agree.

Why didnt they just do a story on one of Ezios fellow assassins that way its separate but linked in with one of the better games :)
