Yooka-Laylee Gamescom Trailer Unveiled

3D Platforming games are somewhat of a rarity in current times but these past few years have  shown demand for that type of game with the likes of Trine 3, Ratchet & Clank, Unravel and the recent E3 announcement of the Crash Bandicoot reboot to name but a few.

Yooka-Laylee was crowdfunded and met its desired budget within a few days of the Kickstarter going live so there definitely a hunger for more platformers and this one is the spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie from the Nintendo 64.

It really does give off the feeling of a really polished 90’s-inspired platformer both aesthetically and with its soundtrack, which you can see in the new Gamescom trailer below:

Yooka-Laylee’s release date is scheduled for early 2017.
