Quark VR Working On Wireless Version Of The HTC Vive

Quark VR is working with Valve to create a wireless version of the HTC Vive, which would make VR feel more immersive than the wired counterpart. While there is a while to go before such an option will be available to consumers Quark states it should have a prototype ready during the Autumn, with tests to be carried on over the next few months.

The plan is to use a transmitter that people can put in their pockets which acts like a bridge between the Vive and the PC, using the local Wi-Fi to secure the connection. If the prototype is successful we may see the other VR focused developers looking at adapting the technology for their own headsets.
