The Devil Is In The Detail In This Robinson: The Journey Dev Diary

Developer Diaries are usually relegated to News Snatch on account of them not featuring any decent beardage anymore. They aren’t that interesting unless you obsess over mesh maps, pixels counts, occlusion methods and 3D spacial sound systems.

Crytek do all of that, as clearly shown in the video below, but I’m posting it mainly because I’ve just finished writing up my hands on with the game and you can read tomorrow. A lot of what I played you can see in the video below, so check back in about twenty-four hours for my expert analysis which may or may not include me going “SQUEE!!! ACTUAL DINOSAURS IN MY ACTUAL FACE!!!”

  1. This is the kind of VR experience which excites me – where the developers are obsessing over the Reality as much as the Virtual, looking forward to hearing your impressions TC.
